Feng Shui: Environmental Psychology for Building & Home Design
Feng Shui, a universal form of environmental psychology, is the study of how an environment affects people’s feelings and behavior on both a conscious and subconscious level, regardless of their background or heritage. By incorporating Feng Shui principles into renovation or new home building projects, building professionals can create more “natural” and comfortable living environments that will be more appealing and desirable to prospective homebuyers. Feng Shui often results in cost savings and an increased bottom line profit by simply making the home more user-friendly. In addition to exploring this cost-saving benefit, this session will provide an overview of Feng Shui principles, review case studies showing how these principles can be applied to Site Selection and Planning, Exterior Colors, Landscaping, Floor Plan Layout, and Interior Design. We will also discuss Feng Shui marketing trends.
Speakers: Lisa Krumins, Panergetics, Fairfield, CT; Vincent Smith, Panergetics, New York, NY
