GreenTrends welcomes building science expert Steve Easley as our opening ceremony keynote on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Steve will present the 411 on cost-effective green building techniques to boost profitability, performance, and customer satisfaction. He is an internationally recognized construction consultant specializing in solving building science related problems and educating building industry professionals and their trade partners. His work focuses on increasing the quality of construction, sustainability, energy efficiency and reducing costly mistakes that lead to construction defects and call backs. Steve has hosted hundreds of best practice building science videos that that can be seen at www.codecollegenetwork.com. These practical videos are viewed by thousands every year. He has also co-hosted hundreds of television and radio programs, including over 100 shows on the Discovery Channel's Your New House.

We’re proud to have the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA) as an education partner this year and the opportunity for GreenTrends attendees to earn the ARCSA professional designation. Both the 100-level ARCSA course and the 200-level course will be offered. Check the Education page for complete information.

The Affordable Housing Committee and the Local Government Committee will be hosting workshops in place of regular committee meetings on Wednesday, June 1. These sessions are from industry professionals who have walked the walk and can now talk the talk – sharing with you lessons learned. THIS is what FGBC membership and networking are all about!
